Current COVID-19 Information

Last updated 31 December 2021

The safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff and doctors is always our highest priority.

Please find a summary of our current COVID-19 safety measures, including patient admission requirements and our latest visiting guidelines.

It is important to note that these guidelines are subject to change at short notice, in line with local conditions and advice available at the time.

Patient vaccination status

Our preference is for all patients to be vaccinated, however at this stage our sites will continue to provide a service to all patients regardless of their vaccination status.

Admitting patients - effective Tuesday, 4 January 2022

All patients (regardless of their vaccination status and reason for admission) are required to have Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on admission

Where a RAT is shown to be positive a discussion with the VMO will occur to determine next steps, which may result in postponement of the admission until a PCR test is obtained, dependent on reason for admission

COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire

In addition to RAT on admission, COVID-19 screening questions will be asked during the pre-admission call and on the day of admission.

Personal Protective Equipment

Staff and doctors will wear PPE at all times whilst in the hospital. Patients are required to wear a supplied mask whilst outside of their rooms and in communal areas.
